Let me take a minute to introduce myself. I`m Kay and I look after the notebook business here at Laptops Direct. I`ve made this page so that every week, I can give you a bit of an insight into what`s hot, what`s not and what our latest Killer Deals are and why….. please do visit me again, as offers change on a weekly basis.
I’m pleased to say that the Acer Aspire 5536 is still flying off the shelves this week, at £349.97 it`s a great all round machine with a speedy dual core Athlon processor and lots of room in the 250GB Hard Drive for all of your files and folders. Also this week, I`ve priced the Acer Aspire 5920 down to just £449.97, this is a step up from the 5536 spec wise and also features a Blu-ray Drive so that you can take true advantage of HD Content, whatever it is your into! This one`s got an Intel Core 2 chip, and a whooping 4GB RAM so you can be assured it`ll handle just about anything you want to throw at it!
Netbooks remain the perfect choice if you want to surf the web and send the odd email here and there. I`ve just got one a new shiny one instead of a laptop for carrying around while I`m out and about, for the price of them now a lot of people are opting for these as a lightweight solution for entry level browsing on the web. Whether its for work or play you can check your Facebook, Twitter or access your emails out of the office; whether its on a train, in the garden or round the hotel swimming pool! There`s a huge, huge choice now available but my personal fave is still the Samsung NC10 which is fantastic value for money at under £300 and comes in a range of colours. If you don`t want to spend quite that much I have an ASUS EEEPC which is £180 and at the moment you can even get a freebie with this, a dinky carry case to take it anywhere with you, only while stocks last though.
Netbook accessories are worth looking at too, an External DVD Drive might come in useful, we`ve got this LG one for under £50. Similarly if your surfing about on the web, keep pesky viruses at bay with a USB F-Secure stick for £24.97 with built in firewall and spam control too ideal for any Netbook.
