Important Notice to all Smart Shopping Affiliates

Recently it has come to our attention that some sites are offering incentives to click through on the Smart Shopping links (direct and redirects). This traffic source breaks the terms and conditions of the programme and as such we have suspended a number of affiliates, cancelled their pending commissions and continue to monitor all affiliate traffic, so please be warned.

We also see quality issues in general coming from the affiliate source and will be monitoring this even closer over the coming weeks. Affiliates driving low quality traffic please be aware you will be suspended from the programme if it continues, so start making those improvements now!

In line with improving quality those of you that are using the feed, you must update the feed on your site from Affiliate Window by no later than 10.00am every day. It is imperative that you do not deliver traffic to offers older than 24 hours and it is against the terms, again anyone found doing so, will, within reason, be suspended from the programme, which of course we don’t want to do, so please update your feeds!

Smart Shopping Affiliate Programme Details

Commission:-
This is a click campaign.Affiliates can earn 12p for each exit click (an exit click is determined as when a user clicks through to the SmartShopping site, then finds a product and then clicks out to the retailer’s site, you will receive 12p for that click out).Each exit click will be registered as a lead in the interface.
PPC Policy:-
1. Bidding on the SmartShopping brand name (including variations or misspellings of it) or any of the names of the brands or suppliers that are represented on the SmartShopping website (including variations or misspellings of them) is prohibited in all search engines.
2. Use of the domains www.smartshopping.co.uk or any of the brand names or suppliers who are represented on the site (including variations of them) is strictly forbidden in any ad copy including display URL.
3. Overbidding the official SmartShopping advert is strictly forbidden (this can be identified by the URL www.smartshopping.co.uk) on all search engines
4. No direct linking is allowed under any circumstances
5. Use of the term “official site” in your ad copy is forbidden.
If any affiliate is found to be breaking any of the terms above, they will be asked to either remove their ad, update the ad content, or lower their bids. Consistent failure to comply with these rules will result in the affiliate being removed from the program and commissions being set to zero.
Incentive Affiliate Policy:-
Affiliates are not allowed to offer any incentive clicks for the Smart Shopping programme, any affiliate violating these terms will be suspended from the campaign immediately and all clicks pending will be rejected!
